https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Civil-Rights-Movement-Word-Wall-730408
This website gives teachers and students ideas of the different words that are associated with the civil right movement. Many of them I knew, but there are some I would have never put into that category because of my lack of knowledge. It also lists names of people I never learned about when studying black history. This site gives great insight on the civil rights movement outside of what is being taught in the classrooms. By having the different words on the word wall, I can either group my students or give them individual words they will research. This will be a great way to introduce this novel to my students.

I can use this chart as way to assess my students knowledge about bullying and the civil rights movement. The KWL charts are always a great place to start when introducing a new topic, or a topic that students may be familiar with but need more knowledge about. This chart allows me to know where I need to start with a lesson before introducing them to this novel. It can also help create projects for the novel. I would love to have my students research either topic, and they can share with the class what they learned. This website is simple, but it is a great way to introduce a topic to a class especially if I want to know what they know about it before I begin teaching it.

This website also introduces topics about the civil rights movement that is easily overlooked. As a teacher, I would use this website to educate myself and students before reading the novel. It gives a great perspective on the things black people experienced during the civil rights movement. It also adds on to the first website I chose. The word wall would go great with this gallery walk because they share many of the same words. I can use the word wall to introduce the vocabulary words, and then I can use the gallery walk to go further in depth with the different topics. This website also saves time because the research is already done for us. Many times in the classroom, we have to cutback on different things because of time. This website is a great resource to just that with.

The Saturday Boy
https://science.howstuffworks.com/apache-helicopter.htm
This website gives a brief description on how the Apache helicopter is used. It also describes what it is used for, and its many purposes it serves in the war. It also talks about the many systems the helicopter has, and how it is the most lethal helicopter created. This site is a great way to introduce the Apache helicopter, and a great website for me to educate myself about the helicopter. It is not very wordy, and it gets straight to the point. This website is great for middle school students because they have short attention spans, and they do not want to read a long article. This article also does not have a lot of unnecessary information in it either, therefore I would use this site to grasp my students' attention make them eager to learn more.
https://www.kidshealth.org.nz/helping-child-cope-death-parent
This website educates anyone seeking to help a child who has lost a parent. It teaches anyone the different emotions a child may experience after a parent's death. It also tells the different things a child may need after the loss of a parent. Everyone should take a look at this site because many students have loss a parent, or they could lose a parent while in your classroom. This website educates anyone on many things the children may do or need. It also teachers people what they can do to help children cope. The death of a loved one is hard to deal with especially for children who do not know what is going on or why their parent died. It is very important to know basic ways to handle these situations because as a future educator, I want my students to know I empathize wit them. I also do not want to cause anything that can trigger unwanted behavior because I do not know how to deal with the student. Finally, it is a great idea to educate other students as well, so they will know how to handle these situations as well.
